We couldn't do anything that we're doing without our volunteers. If you'd like to join our team, please fill out the form below to get in touch. You don't have to be able to knit, sew or make things. There are plenty of jobs to be done sorting donations, tidying stock and making cups of tea!
Volunteer shifts are usually from 10-12:30 or 12:15-2:30.

Volunteer Welfare
• The Remade shop toilet is used to store our coats and bags away from work areas to avoid trip hazards.
• Water for the kettle and coffee machine is obtained via a jug from the sink in the toilet.
Please help yourself to hot beverages and whatever you find in the biscuit tin.
• The toilet in the Remade shop is for volunteers and staff only. There is a public toilet in the lower floor of the shopping centre in the bus centre for visitors. Access is via stairs, lift and escalators-turn right on leaving the shop and access is in the middle of the shopping centre
• If using the shop toilet please close the lid after use as a matter of courtesy.
• Please check the diary for messages – it can be found either by the till or on the work table.
• If you are feeling unwell for any reason and need to go home or take time out. Please let your team mate know you have to leave the shop.
• First aid- there are first aiders within the shopping centre management team contactable through the data control centre. Use the shop mobile phone to call 01905 610065. There are green first aid boxes in the shop and toilet for minor injuries to be dealt with by the team.
Please remember to wash your hands first before administering any first aid.
In the Warehouse please leave the store and use the centre phone on the opposite wall in the phone box in the corridor - dial 200 to speak to data control to report a first aid issue.
• Lifting and carrying- please use positive lifting techniques- see the practical tips sheet and do not lift or carry more than you can manage. This is important as there are heavy and bulky items and rolls. There are carrying aids in the workshop. We must all self-assess and ask for help when necessary to avoid injury and accidents.
• There is a no smoking policy within the centre. If you need to go outside to smoke and vape please tell one of your team mates that you have left the building.
• Out of pocket expenses for travel and parking are redeemed via a form which can be found in the volunteer folder in the work area. Please provide receipts for parking. One of the Trustees will reimburse expenses.
• Thank you for giving your time to the Remade Worcester project and welcome to the team.
