It’s hard to believe that it’s already three years since the doors opened at the Remade store!
To celebrate our third anniversary, we were delighted to welcome Matt Jenkins, Leader of Worcestershire Council and Worcester City Mayor, Councillor Tor Pingree. Matt has supported Remade since its inception and Tor was meeting our team for the first time. We’re incredibly grateful for Matt’s continued encouragement and support as Remade has grown and developed.

Our founder, Sue Fry, welcomed our guests alongside trustees Gill Hutchinson, Gordon Whittaker and Jacky Courtney, staff and volunteers, as well as our new Creative Learning Resources Advisor, Charlotte Hutchinson.
Matt and Tor spent time chatting with the team, hearing about the work we do and finding out more about how Remade has developed over the past three years. Both remarked on our success to date and the positive impact Remade is having in the community.
And what a team we have! Remade is now supported by an amazing 44 volunteers, whose time, enthusiasm and commitment are at the heart of what we do. From helping in the store to sorting materials, supporting customers and sharing their skills, our knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteers make a huge contribution to Remade every day.
After the speeches and introductions, we all enjoyed some well-earned tea and delicious homemade cakes, providing a perfect opportunity to catch up, celebrate our achievements and enjoy the company of everyone who helps make Remade what it is.

Three years on, we continue to find new ways to keep useful materials out of landfill and put them back into the hands of our community for creative, educational and practical projects.
A huge thank you to all our customers, donors, partners, volunteers, staff and trustees for being part of the Remade journey.
Here’s to the next three years!
